Project description

Investment in CNC turning cells with automatic bar feeders and continuous chip conveyors.

• Phase one: complex CNC machining cell Miyano BNJ-42SY6, equipped with an FMB bar feeder and an LNS chip conveyor
• Phase two: complex CNC machining cell CITIZEN L32 LFV, equipped with an FMB bar feeder and an LNS chip conveyor

Project goals

• Increase in added value per employee
• Reduction of energy consumption per unit of product
• Reduction of raw material consumption per 1,000 units of product

Description of the activity

An investment in the modernisation of technological equipment and in water infrastructure was carried out, covering:

• A washing plant for metal components
• A CNC lathe
• A water reservoir
• A canopy

Each part of the investment contributes to higher productivity, lower water consumption, reduced CO₂ emissions and less hazardous waste.

Project description

We are a metalworking company with a tradition dating back to the 1980s, located in a border problem area in the municipality of Kobarid, and we were severely affected by the COVID-19 crisis. Through this business restart project we managed to preserve all 31 jobs and to modernise operations by acquiring new fixed assets.

Project goals

• Preservation of all 31 existing jobs for at least three years, at the level held before the COVID-19 pandemic
• Provision of production capacity for new precision turned components for the automotive industry and for components used in e-bike drive units
